A price list tells customers what you charge before they ask. Add items or services under sections — "Haircuts", "Color", "Add-ons" or "Wholesale", "Retail" — with a unit and a short description, and the generator lays them out with dot leaders and an effective date. When it's time for a price rise, enter a percentage and a rounding rule, preview every new price, and apply it to the whole list at once.
Your business name and contact details, the date the prices take effect, items grouped the way customers think about them, a unit for anything not sold "each" (per hour, per square foot, per dozen), and a short note on what isn't included — tax, delivery, minimum order. A dated list makes it clear which prices apply when you update it later.
Keep descriptions to one line. If a service needs a paragraph, that's a sign it belongs in a quote instead.
Start from cost: the markup calculator turns a cost and a target margin into a price, and shows why a 30% markup is not a 30% margin. For services, the freelance rate calculator works back from the income you need.
For an across-the-board rise, enter the percentage and pick a rounding rule — up to .99 or .95 for retail, the nearest dollar for services. Each item shows its new price before you apply it, so you can adjust any that land awkwardly.
Keep separate lists for wholesale and retail customers rather than one list with two columns — it avoids a retail customer seeing your trade price. Give each list a title and an effective date so you know which one a customer was sent.
Once a customer orders, the prices carry over to a purchase order on their side and an invoice on yours.
A document listing the products or services you sell and what each costs, usually grouped by type and dated so customers know which prices are current.
Enter a percentage under "Raise or lower every price", choose a rounding rule, check the preview under each item, then press Apply. Use a negative number to lower prices.
It rounds each new price up to the next price ending in .99 — $10.43 becomes $10.99, $9.99 stays $9.99. Choose "to the cent" to keep exact percentages.
Yes. Export the CSV and open it in any spreadsheet. The list is also saved in this browser.
